Week 2 continues with wolsung, 1337HUANIA & FiGURE05 being victorious
The third game day of week 2 is done and dusted as wolsung earned their third victory by beating their countrymen Aston eSports, 1337HUANIA continued their dominance this time around over ayned, and FiGURE05 came out as the better Lithuanian team in the battle between them and Žalgiris! Aston eSports vs wolsung

Wolsung opened up the first game of the evening with their classic straight-forward approach to whom most teams, including Aston eSports with a substitute player, were really hesitant to respond to. With earning 13 rounds on T side of the overpass (2:12) it looked pretty likely that the game is going to be over real soon, but Aston eSports were not ready to give up just yet! After the side switch at the halftime, Zvede (captain of Aston eSports) rallied his troops to once again reignite the hope that was seemingly lost! Aston eSports went on to win their T side pistol round and five more rounds after that, pulling the score back to a five round deficit (8:13 in favor of wolsung). At that point wolsung finally managed to take back one round, but they were instantly reset by Aston eSports managing to win an after-plant situation on bombsite B. The comeback hopes were short-lived as at the scoreline of 10:14 wolsung finally decided to struck the final blow by taking two rounds in a row thus earning their third victory in four games this season!
“One more time wolsung proved that they can beat their fellow Latvian teams in a somewhat convincing fashion, but props to Aston eSports who played this game with a substitute player and still managed to make it close battle in the end. I can only wonder - would things have gone differently if Aston eSports had played with their full roster? We will never know! But, on the bright side - they did manage to make this game an interesting one with pulling off a mini-comeback in the second half.”

The second game of the evening started off with ayned actually being the ones who took the first initiative as they managed to win CT side pistol round and the second round anti-eco pulling a head 2:0. 1337HUANIA guys were quick to respond as they then took 5 rounds in a row making it a 2:5 game. While ayned were the ones who once again took back the game in their hands at that point by winning 2 more rounds (4:5), after that it was all lukkjE and his colleagues who stomped through the half with finishing it off 5:10 in their favor. As you might assume from the score-line already - 1337HUANIA guys only grew in their power once they got on the CT side and eventually they just took the 6 rounds needed to close out the game in a pretty confident 5:16 manner!
After the game, 1337HUANIA sniper Carcass gave us the following statement:
“Coming into this game we knew that we were the favorite versus ayned, so we pretty much had the same confidence level as in any other game this season so far. Truth be told, we haven’t really played together besides BESL Pro, just me, lukkjE and LaimB are heavily grinding FPL-Challenger and Butters is grinding FPL, so this is the reason why we were so on point individually. Looking forward to play versus other top teams in BESL Pro and see if we can win them as well!”
FiGURE05 vs Žalgiris

The last, final game of the evening was a true brawl between two Lithuanian teams! Going into the game FiGURE05 were the one that opened up the game for themselves in a good manner by taking the first three rounds, losing the first gun round, but then quickly resetting Žalgiris economy thus gaining an even bigger advantage over their opponents. FiGURE05 were keeping up the dominance until the scoreline of 7:2 in their favor as only then walkman & co woke up and started mounting a comeback eventually making it a 8:7 half in favor of FiGURE05. After the side switch Žalgiris won the pistol round and the two consecutive rounds, but after that FiGURE05 started once again gaining momentum with quickly shutting down Žalgiris economy and finishing off the game with a scoreline of 16:12.
“The duel between two Lithuanian teams of FiGURE05 and Žalgiris on de_cache was a sight to behold! As the game progressed Žalgiris managed to come back from the initial deficit, in terms of round gained, but FiGURE05 were the one who managed to score a round win when it really mattered at 13:12 thus crushing their opponent’s economy into oblivion! A key thing to take away from this game - playing retakes, for the most part, is not going to net you victories!”
