WASD Sports, wolsung & Žalgiris successful on day 2 of week 3
The second game day of week 3 is done and dusted as WASD Sports completely and utterly demolished Season 1 champions 1337HUANIA, wolsung went on to earn their second victory this week against FiGURE05, and the battle between two Lithuanian teams of Žalgiris and NotLikeThis ended up in Žalgiris’ favor! Season 2 of BESL Pro keeps on surprising as another Match of the Week game between two very strong opponents, not to mention Season 1 champions and Season 1 regular season champions, ends in a one-sided affair! Even though last season these two teams fought neck-to-neck closing out their then double-header (two game) series with both of them taking a map, this time around the duel was a lot more skewed towards the WASD Sports side!
The game began with 1337HUANIA guys starting on T side and as they took the first pistol round it already started to seem like this is going to be an interesting game, because, in theory, Lithuanians should have been able to start their economy rolling which then would result in an interesting half. But...they didn’t! And sadly enough that single pistol round victory was the only round they ever got in this game as starting from the 2nd round onwards it was all about WASD Sports! Estonians cruised through the game with little to no resistance from 1337HUANIA guys finishing off the game in quick 1:16 scoreline!
“While 1337HUANIA guys started the game off on T side of nuke with a secured pistol round, that was pretty much all she wrote for them! On the following round WASD Sports instantly picked up the pace of the game and what initially looked like just a shut down turned into an unstoppable stomp from them! Heck, they actually secured all the 16 rounds necessary to win the game in a single attempt, thus not even giving any breathing room to 1337HUANIA guys! This performance definitely showed that WASD Sports are not a team to be messed with!”

The second game of the evening was also a one-sided showing as wolsung, for the second evening in a row, managed to demolish their Lithuanian opposition. The game started off with FiGURE05 taking the T side pistol round only to then suffer a second round loss by bunch of deagle bullets landing in their faces (1:1). The first half then continued in the same wolsung-like manner as they seemingly kept on doing whatever they want all around the map while round-wins just kept on coming.
At the scoreline of 1:7 FiGURE05 finally managed to answer as they won 2 out of the 3 following rounds thus completely resetting Latvian team’s economy (3:8). But, as always, that did not stop wolsung from forcing up and winning a round with just pistols (3:9). The half then ended up with Latvians taking 2 more rounds, while the final round went to Lithuanians making it a 4:11 first half. Although a scoreline like that is not a complete tragedy on a map like train, the way that wolsung played just made it look like FiGURE05 will not have an easy game on their CT side whatsoever. And that just proved to be the case as right of the get-go of second half wolsung came out guns blazing winning 5 of the first 6 rounds to finish the game!
After the game wolsung captain hyskeee gave us the following statement about their start of the season:
“The season has started off great for us as the only game where we struggled was the one against WASD Sports. I personally feel like in that game we just gave a bit too much respect to them and that led to a loss. As of right now, we’re just confident in ourselves believing that we actually are the strongest mix of players in BESL Pro and if we reach the LAN finals this time around, we’re definitely going to showcase what we’re capable of as I feel like this roster has all the things that the previous lacked in order to win a title like that!”
Žalgiris vs NotLikeThis

The last game of the evening was an interesting one as it featured two Lithuanian teams fighting for not only a better place in overall standings, but also - that national team power rankings pride!
The game on inferno started off with NotLikeThis taking the CT side pistol round and two consecutive rounds (0:3). Žalgiris then replied with a round of their own taking the first gun round, but the streak was immediately broken as NotLikeThis took back a round resetting Žalgiris economy (1:4). At the scoreline of 1:5 Žalgiris finally managed to string some rounds together as they not only evened out the game, but also started pulling ahead eventually winning the half 8:7.
Upon the side switch Žalgiris kept going as they managed to win four rounds (12:7) until NotLikeThis finally found an answer to their defence taking four rounds of their own (12:11). At that point Žalgiris were done playing games as they finally had all the things necessary to make their CT side defence a wall that can not be climbed over!
“The battle between two Lithuanian teams of NotLikeThis and Žalgiris is surely a match you want to see! Although both teams had their moments of brilliance in this game, it was Žalgiris’ teamwork that gave them the edge in the end, not to mention that their newest addition (Boo) also chipped in together with Sterzig, who was once again was standing-in for Regg1e. As much as I hate to say it - Žalgiris really need to think about bringing Sterzig in full time as the team looks reinvigorated with him! As for NotLikeThis - they still have some things to sort out as once they start losing they just fall apart.”
