Latvians start off week 3 with a bang
Yesterday we opened up week 3 of our competition with MightyWolves taking their 5th victory this season this time against FiGURE05, while wolsung completely demolished their opponents NotLikeThis. Read more about these games down below!

The first Lithuanian-Latvian duel of the evening started off with MightyWolves taking the lead by winning the CT side pistol round (0:1). Though, after a good start came a crushing follow-up as Latvian side completely misplayed the 2nd round thus letting FiGURE05 slip back into the game early on (1:1). The momentum then continued with the guys from Lithuania as they took two more rounds after that (3:1). At that moment MightyWolves were finally done eco-ing and once they bought the guns they required they were able to take back a round (3:2). Yes, a round! A single round was sadly all they really got as right after that FiGURE05 once again shifted to the next gear shutting down Latvian side once more by taking five rounds in a row (8:2).
At that point it really felt like FiGURE05 are running away with this game as MightyWolves looked nowhere to be found, but it was not over just yet! Latvians gathered up all their focus and skill to make a huge comeback! Not only did they take the remaining five rounds of the first half making it 8:7, but they also kept the momentum going into the second half of the game taking the first seven rounds of it (8:14)! At that point FiGURE05 finally managed to break the amazing twelve round run that MightyWolves had, but it was too little too late as Latvians were not shook by it and they finished off the game right after!
“As I picked this as my Match of the Week I was really looking forward to seeing which one of these 4-0 W-L record teams is going to suffer their first defeat! At the start off the game it looked like MightyWolves were about to bite the dust as FiGURE05 looked just too confident in their plays, but Latvian patience and calm approach to the game was once again a success in the end as they quickly turned a 8:2 scoreline into 8:7 and then the 2nd half was all about The Wolves as they just kept going until the very end!”

The second Lithuanian-Latvian duel of the evening was a rapid one to say the least! The game began with wolsung taking the pistol round and two consecutive rounds (3:0). On the fourth round, when the big guns finally rolled in for NotLikeThis they started to fight back as they took a round of their own (3:1), but unfortunately for them, they were then immediately reset by wolsung answering with another set of 3 rounds (6:1). The pattern continued in a similar fashion as the half progressed as NotLikeThis then once again answered with a round (6:2), but this time around wolsung were already warmed-up as they took six straight rounds (12:2). The half was then finished off by NotLikeThis taking their 3rd and sadly, the final round of the game (12:3). Upon the half switch Latvians upheld their dominance by taking the four rounds necessary to finish off the game!
“What a performance from the Latvian side! If I’m being honest - I did expect that wolsung would be the ones who would put NotLikeThis back into their place after last week’s upset victories against WASD Sports and SkinLordz proving that those results were a bit fluky, but Not. Like. This. Right from the get-go the old EPG duo of YEKINDAR (25 kills) and krii (20 kills) just went off leaving Lithuanians with no answer to the brute force of wolsung!”
