ayned switch two coming into Season 3
Last week on Monday we launched BESL Pro Season 3 with its main topic of interest being the new regular season format that’s going to change the whole competition upside down as it is quite the opposite of what we’ve done before.
Shortly after that we saw teams such as wolsung, OnlineBOTS and Esi Pirmais eSports announcing their rosters for the upcoming season and now it’s time to add another Estonian team to this list - ayned!
Team’s captain tul1p started ayned’s journey in BESL Pro last season when they qualified for the season 2 competition via the first open qualifier by beating Latvian teams such as ESCELTIC and deprEST.
Coming into this season, ayned have opted for a change as they’ve swapped their last season players zfx and Abyssal with Eku and wAw. Interesting fact to note here is that core trio of tul1p, critu and swicher have now been playing together for more than a year.
“Last season we didn’t have any real expectations for ourselves in the league as few weeks into the competitions we were forced to change players so we just decided to tone it down a little bit and play out the rest of the season as a mix. As you might’ve guessed it, we didn’t practice, so our only objective was to stay in the league by placing in the top 12.
This season, however, we want to start fresh! At the start of the year we parted ways with zfx and Abyssal. To fill in their shoes we brought some fresh blood - Eku and wAw. They're both very talented players and have a good mindset about how the game should be played. We feel like this is the best solution for us as a team, since we can now put more time and effort in practicing and actually playing together as one unit. Our hopes for this upcoming season are much higher and we aim to get a better result overall.”

With the changes to the roster, ayned’s Season 3 squad looks as following:
As previously mentioned, tul1p, together with his team ayned, emerged in Season 2 via the open qualifiers. Estonian squad had an average season finishing 8th out of the 16 teams with a win-loss record of 7-8 in the 15 regular season games with their most notable victory being the one against Žalgiris (finished 6th).
BESL Pro Season 3 is set to start on 1st of April with sixteen best Baltic state teams battling it out for the prize pool of €9,000. More details can be found in the BESL Pro Season 3 announcement.
