Match of the Week - 1337HUANIA [2-0] Timechasers

1337HUANIA: Carcass, hype, kalinka, *EspiranTo, *nukkye

Timechasers: Ind1ff3rent, jL-, shadowow, Jalzaz, Askew

*substitute players

Series began on inferno, a map that was chosen by Timechasers. At first, Ind1ff3rent and his troops showed great promise as they took T side pistol round and successfully converted the second round giving them the first lead in the game (0:2). However, it only took 1337HUANIA guys a couple of more rounds to finally wake up and start playing, and soon after not only did they tie things up (4:4), but they also managed to gain momentum that would lead them to a pretty comfortable 10:5 first half. After teams switched sides, the same momentum was kept by 1337HUANIA guys as they just cruised through the rest of the game winning the first 6 rounds of the second half and giving them the 1-0 lead in the series with a 16:5 victory on inferno.

The second map in this duel was mirage picked by the map one winners 1337HUANIA and while Timechasers had the chance to decide upon side they wanted to start on (choosing CT), this decision seemingly did not matter in the grand scheme of things. 1337HUANIA had successfully transferred their map one dominance to mirage as well and a quick 3:0 lead turned into 11:4 first half in a blink of an eye. Upon side switch, Timechasers were eager to get back into the game and while them taking the first two rounds of the half (11:6) seemed like a good start, 1337HUANIA’s defence was practically unbreakable and eventually they did get the 5 rounds needed to close out the map 16:7 in their favor, thus winning the series 2-0.

With the victory against Timechasers, 1337HUANIA are coming into week 2 of our competition as one of the 1-0 Pool teams and two more succesful encounters will give them a spot in the playoffs. Be sure to check out our current league standings to see how your favorite team is doing so far!
