The dust has settled on the second day of the first week of BESL Pro Season 2 as wolsung edged out their opponents in ayned, while ESCELTIC demolished Team Redeye.

The first game of the evening was a bit closer than some might have expected knowing that team wolsung is made out of few of the best players in Latvia including broky - the first Latvian player that has reached FACEIT Pro League (FPL). The game started with wolsung taking the pistol round followed up by ayned coming out victorious in the following force buy round. Teams kept on trading round, but eventually ayned were the ones pulling ahead finishing off the half 9:6 in their favor. After teams switched sides ayned were the ones who kept the momentum in their favor being at one point even up 12:6. But then...wolsung happened! The guys from wolsung just made all the necessary adjustment to win 10 rounds in a row, finishing the game off with a 16:12 victory!

The second match of the evening was an unexpected blow-out to say the least. Even the caster desk was split on predicting the winner of this match pointing to the fact that on paper it seemed like a very hard one to predict. Everyone’s minds changed once the teams got into the server! Right of the get-go ESCELTIC were making a strong statement about them being the favorites in this game as it took Team Redeye ten rounds to finally manage a round-win (9:1 in favor of ESCELTIC). The game then pretty much continued in the same fashion with ESCELTIC keeping their foot on the pedal and finishing off their first game in this season with a clean 16:4 victory!
“I had high expectations for matchup between Team Redeye and ESCELTIC as I got to see Team Redeye during the qualifiers where they did pretty good, but it seems like they just were not ready to translate it to the regular season play yet. Great preparation though from Latvians of ESCELTIC, Team Redeye definitely has a lot to take away from this game!”
