*Match of the Week

This season the Match of the Week (MOTW) games are picked by our casters and head admin. Every single one of them will pick one match that sticks out the most in their eyes and give their reasoning of why You should not miss it! Here are their picks for this week’s MOTW games:

“My pick for this week’s MOTW is Žalgiris vs SkinLordz (12.09 21:00). This match is going to answer so many questions as we’re coming into week 5 and it’s important for every team to perform here and now if they want to reach those LAN finals! Can SkinLordz finally show up with the form and consistency that they had in Season 1 whilst placing 2nd? Can Žalgiris keep up the level of ruthlessness that they had in their last week’s game against eustonia? From Undercover’s (Žalgiris coach) TwitLonger I understood that they are going to be putting more time into practising to get more comfortable with the new roster, while SkinLordz on the other hand have let us down so many times previously that it’s hard to speculate on their level of commitment here. All in all - I believe that this game will set everything in its place as we will know who has a chance to reach the finals and who doesn’t!”

Renārs “Emvy” Dzintars

“For my MOTW I’m choosing the Latvian duel between wolsung and SkinLordz (11.09 21:00). The domestic Latvian duels have always been really close and between these two teams? This should definitely be an interesting match to see as all the players know each other very well both in and outside the game. Will anyone abuse this fact or will it be a fair fight? Can SkinLordz actually come out on top and still show that they have any gun powder left in their barrels? Or will wolsung just cruise through this game in a calm and collected manner? Considering how much pride is on the line for SkinLordz it could definitely go both ways. Oh, and apparently SkinLordz are already having very hard weeks at BESL Pro, let’s see what they will say after playing the likes of wolsung as it would be very ‘sad’ to see the last season runner-up's going down in flames!”

Renārs “Veneficus” Šēnfelds

“For my MOTW I’m choosing none other than wolsung vs Žalgiris (13.09 20:00). Is it coincidence that me and my colleagues picked all the three games played between trio of wolsung-SkinLordz-Žalgiris? Definitely not! As much as there are few other interesting games happening this week, the matches between these three teams are the most cut-throat, meaning that if any of these teams really want to reach LAN finals, they just have to take points against the other two! As for the match-up itself - for me wolsung are still the favorites here, but Žalgiris is looking extra sharp lately with their newest addition of Sterzig and Regg1e being back! Another factor that could impact the outcome is hyskeee! There is no doubt in my mind that wolsung need him in order to put up dominant performances and if he’s going to be absent once again then I could see this going both ways! Overall this might not seem like an important game to some, but trust me - it most definitely is!”
