The last and final regular season play week of BESL Pro Season 2 is here! Only seven games left till we have the final standings of this season’s CS:GO division!

The second season of Baltic eSports League is a 8 week battle between the sixteen best Baltic state CS:GO teams for their share of the €9,000 prize pool and one of the four spots at this season’s LAN finals held in Tallinn, Estonia at Saku Suurhall arena from 20th till 21st of October!
As previously announced, season 2 has undergone a few changes and one of those is in regards to the regular season play format. This season teams are going to battle it out in a 16 team Best-of-1 round robin format meaning that each team is going to play 2 matches per week for the first 7 weeks, while finishing off the last week of the competition with 1 last game, totaling to 15 games played over the time period of 8 weeks. *Match of the Week
This season the Match of the Week (MOTW) games are picked by our casters and head admin. Every single one of them will pick one match that sticks out the most in their eyes and give their reasoning of why You should not miss it! Here are their picks for this week’s MOTW games:
“For my last week’s Match of the Week I’m going to go wild and pick Aston eSports vs Žalgiris (02.10 20:00). Even though Aston eSports are basically eliminated (#15) I can still see some spark there with the new roster they have right now. Kind of curious to see if they can manage to outplay Žalgiris who on the other side of the spectrum can’t make top 4 anymore. Since Žalgiris have been lacking teamplay a bit, I think that Aston eSports could surprise us. Feeling even the overtime in this game! Veneficus is going to be happy about that one!”
“My week 8 Match of the Week pick is battle of Estonians - eustonia against ayned (03.10 21:00). Both of the teams have secured themselves a spot in the next season, but ayned, unlike eustonia, can still jump from #10 to #8 if they manage a win here and couple of other games go a certain way. Considering the recent success of ayned this should be an interesting game to watch. Also - it’s been awhile since we have seen eustonia play, so I would like to see ayned stand their ground in a 95% domestic duel!”
“My Match of the Week pick is obvious! I’m going with 1337HUANIA against AUTOCLUTCH (03.10 20:00). While both of these teams have already secured themselves a spot in the LAN finals, this match could seem like a formality, but it is not! The guys of 1337HUANIA have still something to fight for here! If they manage to come out victorious over AUTOCLUTCH in the regulation time, they will dethrone WASD Sports from the #1 seed in the final standings and thus have the chance to choose their semi-final opponents in Tallinn. For AUTOCLUTCH though, this is a good practice game before the big stage at Saku Suurhall!”
