Team Titan dismantle ayned; round 4 matches drawn

The third week of BESL Pro Season 4 has now officially finished with all the sixteen teams playing out their Swiss group stage round 3 matches.

In case you have not heard about the Swiss format before, feel free to check out our season announcement article’s format section that has an in-depth explanation of how this format works.

Swiss round 3 recap

The third round of the Swiss group stage saw sixteen teams being divided into three categories:

  1. Teams that won both of their games (Win-Loss record 2-0)

  2. Teams that won one of the two games they had (Win-Loss record of 1-1)

  3. Teams that lost both of their games (Win-Loss record 0-2)

Starting from round 3 of the Swiss group stage, Teams are seeded using the Buchholz system that takes into consideration what level of opponents each Team has played against previously. It determines how hard a Team's route has been thus far by summing up the scores of their opponents.

After that, teams within the same category were matched up against each other based on the seeds they got according to the Buchholz system. However, this is done by keeping in mind the fact that during the Swiss group stage teams can’t play each other more than once. After a full week of play, here are the results:

Off-stream games:

wolsung [2-0] FiGURE05 (16:8 train, 16:4 inferno)

WORTEX [0-2] SACRAMENTO (8:16 mirage, 5:16 inferno)

alltheRAGE [1-2] deprEST (16:13 vertigo, 13:16 mirage, 10:16 train)

(16:14 nuke, 19:15 dust2)

Latvian broadcast - Team Titan [2-0] ayned

As of right now, there are two teams that have already been eliminated from our competition as they have suffered a defeat in every single one of the weeks prior (Win-Loss record 0-3). Those are WORTEX and 5Aces eSport.

On the other hand, teams such as Domino Gaming and 1337HUANIA have secured themselves a spot in the playoffs by making a flawless run through the Swiss group stage (Win-Loss record 3-0). For these two teams, the competition continues in week six when the Single Elimination playoff bracket goes live.

Game broadcasts

As previously announced, this season we’ve opted to expand our broadcast reach to cater all three Baltic state countries, so instead of you having one single broadcast in English, this season we’re bringing you multiple streams with each of them happening in one of the Baltic state country languages - Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian!

Here’s how it works:

  • Our original broadcast crew that operates in Riga is going to transition from English to Latvian bringing you one best-of-three game series every Saturday at 16:00 Baltic time. These broadcasts are going to be streamed on BESL Pro YouTube channel and are going to feature three casters from Latvia - Emvy, S1D, and Gekons.

  • On the other hand, both Estonian and Lithuanian broadcasts are not going to follow a set schedule, but are rather going to pick-up games during the week based on caster availability. These broadcasts are going to be streamed on BESL Pro Estonia Twitch and on BESL Pro Lithuania Twitch channels respectively. The casters who are going to bring you the action are sux3ss from Estonia and freemaN from Lithuania.

All three broadcasts will prioritize featuring teams from their respective countries.

Latvian match of the week

The first game series that has now been set in stone for the Latvian broadcast team to be featured on Saturday, 19th of October, at 16:00 Baltic time, is:

Information about the games that are going to be featured on Lithuanian and Estonian broadcasts is going to be posted on our social media channels.

BESL Pro Season 4 is a seven-week competition between the sixteen best Baltic state CS:GO teams for their share of the €9,000 prize pool and the right to call themselves the best in Baltic states.

The two best teams from the online part of the competition are going to meet each other in an epic best-of-five grand final on the 23rd of November in Saku Suurhall at HyperTown Tallinn 2019. Visit hypertown.pro for more info about the festival and tickets.
