Season 2 grand finalists shokz & bitchiR- unveil their roster

BESL Pro Season 3 was announced more than a month ago with the biggest topic of interest being its new regular season format that has gone from traditional round-robin in the last two seasons to swiss group stage for the upcoming season.

While both the open qualifiers have now concluded and we have the full list of teams attending this season’s competition, there’s still one team that has not revealed its roster yet and that team is last season’s grand finalist squad XGR eSports now known as Lamp.

The off season was definitely costly for the guys of Lamp as the rumours about their veteran player Dodz retiring after the Season 2 finals due to WASD Sports organisation dropping the team proved to be true. The said retirement started a domino effect and after a while, there were only two members of their previous roster left - shokz and bitchiR-.

With the task of making a new roster at hand, the aforementioned duo wasted no time finding players to fill in the shoes of the trio that had left them. In the end, the three new players they decided to acquire in order to complete the team are zenki, kalsa and dex. While zenki and kalsa both have experience playing in our competitions, dex is a rookie.

“While the off-season has been pretty chaotic for us to be honest, we still have high expectations for ourselves coming into this season. We’re confident that we can do damage here and our new lineup lack some experience, but I’m certain that's not gonna be an issue.”

As you might’ve guessed - shokz and bitchiR- are no strangers to our competition. While they did not play together back when this team was known as WASD Sports in Season 1, shokz did, however, find his way into the roster during the off season between Season 1 and Season 2.

Historically, the core of Lamp (XGR eSports / WASD Sports back then) has been the best regular season team we have had in our league as they won both the regular seasons of Season 1 and Season 2. However, a fact to note here is that they’ve only attended LAN finals once (2nd place in Season 2) as they missed the first season LAN finals due to scheduling conflict with another competition.

BESL Pro Season 3 is set to start on 1st of April with sixteen best Baltic state teams battling it out for the prize pool of €9,000. More details about the schedule and broadcasts can be found in the BESL Pro Season 3 announcement.
